Why me, why should I be an example?

When we often think about personal examples we think about persons of a particular status with a particular level of endorsement. An exemplary figure can be anyone who positively or negatively affect our lives. The question is which do you choose to be? Christ came that we may have life and life more abundantly. Abundant represents plentiful, great, rich, overflowing. Having life that is so great that we impact and enrich the life of others. When we accept Christ as our Lord and savior there is a divine exchange begins to takes place. Where our life, mindset and way of living is now exchanged with his. When we surrender our life to the lord we daily partake in his life. Now that we are in him we have to live a life of example just as he lived.

You are a gate of heaven!

In the natural a gate is a access point to a specific location. As a gate of heaven we are portals through which heaven can invade the earth. We are Christ representation in the earth it is through us that people experience heaven or hell, we therefore have to choose what would we release. Being conscience of this, we now have a heavenly mandate to be like Christ in the earth.

Psalms 24:7 says “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.” The psalmist referred to us as gates. He said lift up your head, bring you level of thinking, your mindset and focus in alignment with the Lord and be lifted up. When you lift up your head something happens you will be lifted, transformed into a different level of thinking, creating therefore a new normal. Our life now becomes Gods, as we create a dimension for God to come in.

Our family and friends will first experience Christ through us. What we show them in our behaviors, conversations and thinking patterns, level of faith is of utmost importance. Those closest to you are looking to you as an example, be the best version of you that God has called you to be and lead others into their heavenly purpose. If you stand firm in what you believe and not waver you can inspire others in the pursuit of Christ. Don’t slack your riding! as my dear friend and powerful woman of God Melissa would say. You never know who will also fall because you did. I believe that if we want someone in our lives to change we first have to be that change we want to see.

We have to represent the change we are looking for!

Make every moment a teaching platform

Titus chapter two speaks about doing and teaching good values. A good teacher must be an exemplary figure one who teaches by doing and practicing what is being tought. Titus 2:7 says “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness”. If our hearts desire is to be followers of Jesus we have to love, truly love, forgive like he did, without partiality, help someone in need, seek a relationship with him so that we know the heart of God. I use to believe that getting myself right with God is all that matters in my walk with the lord. I now know that my purpose is also to call others and be a disciple for God. After the resurrection of Jesus he said to his disciples go into the world and preach the gospel (Mark 16:15), I was of the belief that is was only for the pastors and apostles etc. Now as I learn I teach and I am even more eager to learn so that I can teach. What do you believe you were called to do in ministry unto God? In everything you do even as an exemplary figure do it unto the lord.

I challenge you today to study the life of Christ on the earth, Jesus is the perfect example for us. As we learn from him we too can truly become examples of Christ in the earth. Our God is indeed awesome if was not for his love and forgiveness where would I be. I take the example of Christ everyday by thinking about what Jesus will do in a matter. You too can be an example.
