Don’t limit God

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,”‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NIV

That power..

God is able to do anything and everything, even more than we can imagine, as long as that power, our level of faith, belief and expectancy is at work in us. God is waiting to work on our behalf all he needs is for us to believe. One song writer wrote …

“Jesus only did what he saw you do

He will only say what he heard you speak

He would only move when he felt us lead

Following our heart and our spirit”…

 This song represents the power of our faith our thoughts our words and our expectations. How can we expect God to move if we don’t expect change or even be bold enough to speak change. Time enough, this must stop! let’s stop limiting God with our limited thinking.

In our lives and situations we expect change but don’t speak it. Yes we might for one day but when challenges arise we slip into negativity, nullifying what we declared before in faith. We often say, “Things will never change, or this can’t work, I can’t get promoted, my marriage is a failure, nothing good ever happens to me…” You name it, not knowing that what we say is important. Let’s not speak death to the dry bones in our lives. At times we have to bite our tongue and swallow some words in order to let faith arise.

Stir up your faith and amp your level of expectancy

Faith in God is necessary, we have to know God, truly know and believe in him as the author and finisher of our faith. The one in whom we live move and have our being (Acts 17:28). To know God we have to know his word (don’t read it like a story book), his word outlines his will for us. If we read the word and live by it (see Eph 2:20), why is it so hard to believe what God says and stand in faith, when challenges come? This is mainly because we often see the challenge and not how big our God is. Jesus is the bread of life (see John 6: 25 – 35), this speaks to our reliance, dependence and need for him. Not having faith only in what he offers and can provide but faith in knowing that without him we are unable to survive. #GodIsOurSource

Let’s have a demonstration as it relates to our faith and level of expectancy. Isaiah 41:10 NIV says “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This is a scripture we all like to quote but do we really believe in this verse. If your response is Yes! Why when challenges come we fret, we quarrel, hide, worry and strife? Isn’t God in control? It’s only a test, a test to prove our faith. Our expectation should remain in him, now in what we see,  we should speak the word of God and declare his promises allowing our expectations to tear down the current situation. Faith is faith when we believe in the unseen (see Hebrews 11:1 ).

Let God arise in you and watch the enemy, limited thinking, negativity… scatter!
